my car is 18 feet long and weighs 2 1/2 tons (5000 lbs) with me in it. so when i turn corners, i slow down. since i slow down for corners, i don't care if i have a front stabilizer bar. so i took mine off. on the scale, the bar, bushings, and hardware weighed in at 13 lbs 5.8 oz. the sway bar is not supported by the suspension, making it unsprung weight.(see the lighten up tab on the home page) 13lbs 5.8 oz = 135.8 lbs of regular weight supported by the suspension. 135.8 lbs of weight reduction = .136(rounding up) seconds quicker in the quarter mile. John Force watch your back!
