before i explain how i did this, i would like to state that i do not condone illegal modifications to your vehicle. i would also like to state that this isn't really hooked up and doesn't actually shoot 1ft. flames out the exhaust pipe. (wink wink nudge nudge) know what i mean? eh? eh?
so, hypothetically if a person wanted to mock up a flame thrower to your exhaust, just for looks. this is how you might go about it.
the first thing i did was go to the hardware store with my spark plug and bought a jam nut with the same thread as the plug. next i drilled a 1/2" diameter hole in my exhaust tip after i removed it. i centered the nut over the hole and welded it to the pipe.

then i screwed in the plug and snugged it down.
then i used a 12v neg. ground ignition coil from GM. i mounted the coil and bracket to the frame rail where there was already a hole.

the negative pole, the one with the - i ran a wire to the mounting bolt to ground the coil. the positive/hot one i routed a wire inside to a toggle switch, that had a hot supply wire from the fuse panel.

oh yeah, a spark plug wire from the coil to the plug. the toggle has to be toggled on, off, on, for each time you want a spark. it is necessary to rev the engine to enrich the exhaust so it will have enough fuel vapor to ignite. when the rpms drop back to around 2k , i start the toggle flipping and usually would get a flame by the time the rpms reach idle speed again.  THAT IS, IF THIS WAS ACTUALLY HOOKED UP AND WORKING.
